Liquid phase
Nordic Water offers a range of activated carbons that have been developed specifically to remove dissolved organic contaminants from water. Our carbon is used in the removal of color, odor, and organic compounds from industrial processes. It is used as a catalyst and as a catalyst support for precious metals. Many municipal water treatment plants rely upon our activated carbons to remove taste, odor, color, and toxic pollutants from water.

Vapor phase Our vapor phase activated carbon has been developed to remove volatile organic compounds as well as inorganic contaminants from air and gas. Nordic Water activated carbons are used in a variety of applications including soil vapor extraction, off-gas treatment, solvent recovery, and natural gas desulphurization. Other Information
Potable water grade activated carbon is processed to comply with all the applicable provisions of AWWA Standard B604 & 600 as well as the stringent extractable metals limits of ANSI/NSF Standard 61.
