ACTIVATED CARBON EQUIPMENT Y SYSTEMS
The HPC Series of adsorption systems provides a simple, effective, and economical solution for the treatment of liquids. Applications include waste water treatment, groundwater decontamination, drinking water purification, and removal of trace impurities from liquid products. The modular concept of the HPC Series enables a wide range of flow rates and process conditions to be accommodated by the use of multiple filters connected in series, parallel, or both.
The NW Systems' high pressure carbon (HPC) filters can be designed and manufactured with engineering standards set forth by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). These vessels are typically used in high pressure applications such as groundwater remediation, construction dewatering, waste water treatment, and other liquid purification applications. These vessels are rugged enough to be used at construction sites and hazardous waste treatment projects.
Our hub and lateral distributor systems are designed specifically for treating contaminated groundwater. The open area of each slotted lateral screen is sized to minimize pressure losses during routine operation while still providing uniform flow through the entire vessel. We use a sophisticated computer-model to ensure no "dead zones" or preferential flow channels develop in the carbon unit throughout the entire range of flow.
